STRIDE and the Clinical Data Warehouse

STRIDE (Stanford Translational Research Integrated Database Environment) is a research and development project at Stanford University to create a standards-based informatics platform supporting clinical and translational research. The cornerstone of the STRIDE project is the clinical data warehouse, integrating data from both SUMC hospitals, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH) and Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC). Both hospitals have entrusted their legacy historical clinical data to the STRIDE project as part of the rollout of their new clinical system (LPCH deployed Cerner in 2005 and SHC deployed Epic in 2008). This means that the STRIDE Clinical Data Warehouse is the only source of historical clinical data from both hospitals for research purposes.

As of November 2013 the STRIDE Clinical Data Warehouse contains the following data:

pathology and death index data over time
