The STRIDE Clinical Data Warehouse
The STRIDE Clinical Data Warehouse (CDW) contains clinical and demographic information on patients cared for at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) and Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC). The intent of aggregating this information is to support Stanford University Medical Center’s (SUMC) clinical and translational research mission. Access to patient data in the STRIDE CDW for research purposes requires Stanford IRB approval.
As of February 1, 2009 (new clinical data is added daily) the STRIDE CDW contains:
- 1.3 million pediatric and adult patients with clinical and demographic data (1994-present)
- 10.5 million Clinical Encounters (1994-present)
- 15 million ICD9-coded inpatient and outpatient diagnoses (1994-present)
- 10 million ICD9 and CPT-coded inpatient and outpatient clinical procedures (1994-present)
- 1.8 million radiology reports (2005-present)

- 4.8 million other transcribed clinical documents (2005-present)
- 93 million laboratory test results (2000-present)
