STRIDE Sarcoma Patient Registry

Starting with the standard data set used by the STRIDE Cancer Center Solid Tumor Database, the Sarcoma team modified the pathological staging and added a additional variables to their data collection forms in order to start assembling data for Sarcoma-specific research. Since early 2007 they have been pioneering the use of data collection forms for the structured capture of research variables. The end result is much higher quality research data than is typically possible using chart review. The STRIDE Sarcoma Patient Registry is currently accruing data on patients presented at the weekly Tumor Board meeting. Phase two of the project, beginning in late 2007, will be expand the scope to include all patients, not just Tumor Board cases.
